Here are a few pics of a recent project of mine. It is Dragon's 1/72 Sherman Firefly. A nice little kit. It is being doen as a NZ Firefly. Here are some WIPs. Almost finished with it. Any and all thoughts welcome. Ross
I never knew you were a modeller! Good job it is! And almost 1:76 too In my most HUMBLE opinion, I think pre-shading is a waste of time considering the amount of muck a vehicle model gets thrown at; it certainly doesn't shown between photos 4 and 5
Very nice Ross, amazing the detail they're cramming into 1/72nd these days... (Those sodding etched brushguards on the lights are bad enough in 35th! ) Tried that pre-shading on a few kits with mixed results, very dependent on 'thinness' of the next coat. I may be mistaken, but haven't you been anti-airbrush in the past?
Cheers chaps. Not so much anti-airbrush Adam as I felt you can do similar with a brush. However, having some spare cash led to buying one. I agree to apply more coats you do need to thin the paint down and keep the airbrush at a low pressure. Ross
Been raving about the dragon 72nd for ages, Ive done that one too, Dont recall the etch, maybe its new or maybe I thought **** that. nice job Kev
