Sorry Stitch, just to clarify another point...

The Heer was the German "Regular Army"

Wehrmacht was the German "Armed Forces", consisting of 3 main parts...
    Heer, Luftwaffe and Kriegsmarine.

this is where a probloem arises. To many people including intelligence people and official documents, they misname the german Army by calling them the Wehrmacht.

But what must be remembered about the german Army, was that they took part in many of the "aktions" against the jews.

As for who are the bad guys, then the list is endless.

I would agree with Angie that certain contributors need to moderate their language here. This is a serious WW2 discussion site - we don't need to insult each other to have a good, historical, argument.

All members need to respect the opinions and beliefs of other members, even if they don't hold them or agree with them.

Certain contributors to this thread have exceeded what is deemed to be acceptable behaviour for this forum and because of this, postings have been deleted and others edited to remove the offensive material.

I would also point out to those involved that they should consider this to be a final warning. Any repeat of such behaviour shall result in their expulsion from this website.

In addition, this thread is now closed.

I will be quite happy to discuss any concerns people may have by personal message.
