Tuesday 22nd April 1941 WRIGHT, George S, Ty/Skipper, RNR, killed [LOWESTOFT (NORMANSTON DRIVE) CEMETERY] He was the Commanding Officer of HMT Dorothy Lambert and is noted as killed by bombing. Was the trawler attacked or was he killed ashore? Any ideas? Regards, Steve
A convoy was attacked off Montrose at 1335/21, then the Naval trawlers Dorothy Lambert and Chrysolite were strafed off Cruden Scaurs at 1500/22 and the Skipper of the Dorothy Lambert killed.
