Can anyone recommend any book that covers specifically the actions of the 82nd Airborne Division during OMG in September 1944?

There are lots of books and accounts on the 101st but it seems much less on the 'All American'.

    Thanks.

    Hi Jonathan
A great new history of the 82nd was just released and Amazon.uk has copies available for quite reasonable prices. Otherwise a copy may be available through a local library. Sword of St. Michael: The 82nd Airborne Division in World War II

I've read it and it's well worth a look even though it's not specifically on Nijmegen it covers the action very well.

Have you read Gavin's autobiography, On to Berlin? It is quite good, and it gives a detailed account of his division's actions in Market-Garden.

There also is this Dutch classic: Norbert A. de Groot, "Als sterren van de hemel, de oorlog in het Rijk van Nijmegen 1944", (Like Stars from Heaven, the war in the Nijmegen area 1944) which was published in 1977 and has seen some reprints since.

    See: https://www.boekenwebsite.nl/wereldoorlogen/als-sterren-van-de-hemel

    PS I'm afraid, you'll need a Dutch/English dictionary.
