was on Channel4 on Sunday July 21, and we missed it.
Did anyone watch it? Was it good?
Can't get the recording as we live in France.

The one about the Mosquito? It was ok, more of an introduction for people without much WW2 knowledge, didn't really go into anything in depth. Good array of veterans who flew various types of Mosquito, but the interviews were quite short. Good to see John Trottman aged 93 fly in to make his interview at an airfield!

Thanks - so we didn't miss so much. Eddie (husband) would have been interested as he was in the RAF in the 60s, repairing Shackletons.

A sensationalist hook - and a constant thread calling the aircraft 'forgotten', which is, of course, utter bunk. Speaking objectively as an historian (and fully aware of the presenter's service and disability) - if he write his own scripts, they are not very good and rather pedestrian. A nail in this coffin was saying 'It's just like that film..Mosquito Squadron' - whereas anyone over thirty would surely relate to '633 Squadron'.

Saved Britain - No! There was a "team" of aircraft that did that. Many say the Spitfire in the Battle of Britain however the Hurricane shot down twice as many enemy fighters as the Spitfire.

The Mosquito was an exceptional aircraft that never ceased to amaze everyone with it's versatility and adaptability to do things that it was not designed for. The attached link I posted years ago puts the ability of this aircraft in perspective.

Not watched the films in ages, but Mosquito squadron was the one where they bounced the bombs into the tunnels wasn't it? I thought that was why it got referenced?
