Is it worth offering books for sale here or is it simply easier to go the eBay route and accept the associated problems? Pete PS, because I know you'll ask.... A mix of reference books and Histories and likely subjects areas would be --- RAF, Royal Navy, US forces, Infantry, Para's, Marines, Soviets, Japanese. Mostly all WWII related.
Pete you know you don't want to thin them out get a grip man. However if you are determined ,stick them on here i'm sure you will have takers. regards Clive
This, but I know people have shifted books quite well on here before. Even bought a few. Admin note: No objections whatsoever to established members flogging books here. Crack on if you also subscribe to this odd idea of having less books rather than more.
It's actually a plot to get more books because his loft, garden shed, Man Cave etc aren't yet fully stacked up to the gunwales. Just saying.
For what it's worth, I've bought several scarce books off members in the past but I will be trying my utmost to resist. Truth be told, I should be tempting you with some of my surplus...
Thanks for all the replies chaps and to Von Poop for the 'chit'. Clive, if you saw my Library mate you'd understand! It's getting to the point where I have to prioritise what I'm truly interested in as opposed to what just caught my eye, or worse still, the stuff that well-meaning 'civvies' have bought me because "....well I know you're interested in that sort of thing!"
Thats it mate pass the blame its never our fault is it always someone else for the book buying and associated military oddities gained. Just bought for £4.25 a 1963 Ladybird book on Oliver Cromwell (sealed in plastic envelop still unopened) from a remote obscure antique attic for all I know the pages are blank.
The biggest bastard these days is trying to find anything. That's if I can remember whether I've got it or not...
I remember reading that not too long ago and found it pleasantly positive. Hate to think what the modern take on him would be.
