    Cheers Paul.

Adam....I am resisting the mags but I can't stop getting the books (7 so far this year) -Birthday next week, so I expect a few more to add to the collection. I'm loving the Op Market Garden Volumes at the moment, very well put together. :D

Believe me, he likes them ATB books very much!!

Andy showed me one of the Marken Garden books and I thought the drool on the pages was from the dog. It was definitely Andy and not the dog. The dog was making serious headway into the biscuits:D:D

Can I just publically say how much I 'LIKE' my GF.

I have just signed for The Battle Of France and The Battle Of Britain from the delivery man :D She's just told me it was for looking after her when she was under the weather recently.

So what I want to know is when she's going to be ill next  Does that make me shallow?

ps Hows the Falklands Book coming on anyone ?

    Cheers
    Andy

The trouble with me and them mags.

If I start I'll want No.1 and go through them all....But I stay clear me thinks.

So any surprises or shocks in the Falklands book? I think this next on my list.

It does paint a much fuller picture that I have seen to date - the input from those who were there in terms of service men and Islanders is excellent.
Although many of the events are known , they are better detailed and much more alive if that sounds correct.
Above all you ( speaking for myself) feel it was a small war which cost a lot of young lives - a war which should never had to be fought in the first place.

Whilst MT came out of it very well , it was her goverments policies which made it possible for us to travel to the far end of the Atlantic to fight a war which we were grossly unprepared for - and all at the drop of a hat.

I had my doubts about it foir them - type casting them in the WW2 and WW1 role but make no mistakes Andy this is an excellent book , a big chunk of military history which is well put together.

I have been saving The Falklands Then & Now for a period when I didn't have any work (well... almost no work...). Been looking through it over the weekend - what an absolutely superb piece of work. I actually think it is arguably one of the best and detailed Then & Nows they have ever produced. I know its a hefty price, but worth every penny (but must confess mine was a pressie... !)
