Disappointed in Bernal quitting and letting his fans down who came to see him.
Peter Sagan can't win either and he is still battling.

Not a case of letting fans down or not nor of winning or not but of not doing permanent injury

He's tired, not injured. He said himself he wants to be fresh for the Vuelta a Espana.

And all the riders have sore backs and knees at this point in the race.

Which is the point when long term strain injuries occur.
Even the Roman chariot team managers used to recognise this and would pull their leading drivers even if Gaius Caesar Augustus Germanicus objected

It was a good one. I like the final stage because of all the spectacular chateaus along the route. I always wonder which ones were commandeered by the Germans during occupation.

I think the best one I've ever seen, even if it was a little lite on WWI and WWII monuments and cemeteries this year.

It was a very good Tour considering, best since 2016; good to see a new green jersey winner in Sam Bennett and Pogacar with Polka, White and Yellow! First 21 year old winner since 1904.

It's good for the sport and hopefully this will enthuse others about the sport especially in Slovenia! It's a good time to get into the sport with fewer vehicles on the roads.

No Normandy or Ardennes on this years route. Maybe we'll see some sub pens though.

The perpetrator (the female roadside fan) awaits a hefty claim for damages, and deservedly so. She will probably have to pay off for the rest of her life.

Tour de France organizer ASO has filed a complaint against the woman who caused the crash with Tony Martin. Ouest-France reports this after a conversation with Christian Prudhomme. Based on the qualification of the complaint, the woman risks a fine of 1,500 euros. More serious consequences threaten if the German Jasha Sütterlin, who had to give up as a result of the crash, lodges a civil complaint against her. Then the criminal fine can be up to a maximum of one year in prison and 15,000 euros. The civil claim probably undoubtedly will be a multiple amount of the last figure - if she is lucky.

According to the newspaper, the woman ran away after the fall. To date, she has not been found, but presumably she has German nationality. With Martin, dozens of riders went to the ground after the collision. Jasha Sütterlin had to give up the fight, while several riders will visit the hospital tonight.

... schönen Gruss Opi & Omi (Grandpa & Grandma) ... dumbass!!!

They are starting in Lorient today. I hope they show the sub pens.
I noticed they haven't been using a lot of aerial shots of castles and ruins this year, my favorite part.

I doubt that it is as simple as that. Open roads, no crowd control and no (obvious) intent by the woman to impede or obstruct. A case of tough schitt most likely :)
