While sorting out the vast piles of notes and copies I have... I stumbled a copied copy of the above.

It is a 'scrapbook' following both Regiments. Now I never saw this at Bovington, and its in a pile of papers I found - but incomplete. I wondered if anyone had a copy or was aware of where one could be found in a museum, as my searching has thus far proved fruitless.

I have a copy of Peter Beale's 9th RTR - "Tank Tracks" if that is any use…

    Cheers

Tom, I'm mostly after the 153 RAC information currently as it relates to Greenline where 9 RTR was to be committed, but then their support was no longer needed.

May take you up on the offer when I come to do my 9 RTR work!

I've found out - thanks to Trooper Jim - that the full scrapbook is in the IWM Archives...

Problem is its jolly hard to find on their catalogue, surprise surprise!

Brand new to the forum, but Dad was with 153 Regt, and after that 7RTR. Interested in the scrapbook in the IWM archives as I find it difficult to find anything on 153 Regt, does it contain much information that isn't already available? Also, do you have a catalogue number, since I always find the IWM collections very difficult to search

    Many thanks

    Trevor

I'll dig it up and send it to you Morris.

Basically much of it is 7 RTR, I have notes on almost all the 153 RAC material. That said if you like your Churchill tanks... its chockaful.

Very incisive account/exploration of the use of 153 RAC and 7 RTR as well as the kit they used, fair whack of humour in there as well.

It depends what you want to know on 153 RAC... much isn't really readily available so from that standpoint its a great step forward.

Do you know if there are any tank names or specific census numbers listed anywhere? I have 28 known 153 RAC named Churchills so far.

    cheers

    I think I'm on 50 so far...

I pulled them together from tons of sources, got a rather fat file on 33 AB and 34 TB regarding all this.

Numbers are harder and still a work in progress.
