Having really been into making models in years gone by I was always aware how expensive good quailty reference books were, especially when it came to German Uniforms. Colour ones were a great help but the pics not always clear from a modellers point of view.
Like the 'Walk around' thread posted I woundered if user of this part of the forum would be interested in some good quailty colour pics of German uniforms. Items will be either on a tailors dummy or being worn. I will also try to give details as to the time frame the garments would have been worn and by which branch of service. User can also ask for other photos if they think it will help with a project they are working on.
Let me know if it something you would be interested and I will post some pics. An example below.

Dot pattern tunic. Worn by the W-SS. Was introduced in 1944 so is unsuitable for for anything before that time. Officially it should not have any insinia but examples are seem with the SS eagle on the left sleeve and also sometimes shoulder tabs. No collar tabs of cuff titles. Items should have 5 colours.

Type 1 oak pattern smock and helmet cover. The earlier version with no foliage loops and slant pockets at the waist. These were orignially intended to be worn over the field gear. The pockets were to allow access to ammo poches and the like. Type 1 smocks were still seen up unitl 1945. Helmet cover without foliage loops.

Plane Tree Type 1 smock and helmet cover. Same as the oak version. No foliage loops and with slant pockets. Probably the most common of all the patterns.
