The fountain (at 5 mins) is the one in Falaise itself. The winding gear (at 50 seconds) is the iron mines at May-sur-Orne. The Armoured Cars appear to have Canadian serials
Why did they label is as a US graveyard? It's British. Maybe the white stars confused them at Pathe. Chaps at beginning look like they have 59th Pithead Div sign.
Watched the newsreel last night and bells rang with the officer around 0:35; thought he looked familiar... Lyne. I 'knew' him as GOC 7 Armd Div, but he was also GOC of 59 & 50 Divs before that. This confirms the 59 Div identification as he didn't take over 50 Div until October 44.
