I am trying to document that the 893d TD Bn was attached to the French 2d Armored Division during the liberation of Paris in Aug 44. The battalion was supporting the US 4th Infantry Division when it was attached to the Fr. 2d Armd Div for the liberation, then back to the 4th ID. What I need is a book or document that can be referenced.
Have you checked "Is Paris Burning?" by Dominique Lapierre? The book contains the personal recollections of many of the Allied soldiers, German soldier and civilians.
