Still have a couple of things to finish and one or two things to fix. Revell's 1/426 scale with added PE from Gold Medal. Regards, T
Thanks Guys. Gotthard, Not a difficult kit at all. Cost wise is excellent, about $30 (USD). PE about $40 (USD). Still looking for small enough chain for the anchors. There was a lot of fixes to the pieces but worth it. And if you noticed the Jackstaff is leaned forward too far but fixable. Regards, T
Here are some pix from a model of the Arizona that earned several awards during an IPMS meeting that took place here in Guatemala last weekend:
Well done. Nice work. It was an amazing moment to stand on the Memorial and look at the names of all her crew. We will remember them. cheers, phil
Thanks Warlord, great shots...looks like it would have been a great show. Thanks Phil. It must be awe inspiring. I will get there some day. Even more with my second favorite ship, The Missouri! Regards, T
I was on the Alabama for an evening party many years ago in MObile. That was a great experience as well. ALABAMA360.com cheers, phil
Thanks for the link Phil. Impressive. We have Battleship Cove here in Fall River, with the USS Massachusetts. Went there years ago, need to go back with the kids to let them enjoy. Regards, T
Sounds fun. The Massachusetts, they offer on overnight camp out with an ondeck movie. I know the kids would like that. Wish they would off firing off the "big guns" even with star bursts. T
you read my mind about hearing the guns. I remember seeing images of the Iowa, I believe, firing in the Gulf War. phil
Thanks Warlord, great shots...looks like it would have been a great show. Regards, T It sure was... Here are some more pics, even though a bit off topic (sorry ):
Ahh yeah Phil...nothing like 2300 lb projectiles ruining your morning! I have that shot printed out in my office space. Sweet! Warlord, did you start a thread on your visit to the show? If not you should. Those are pretty nice models and pretty great photos. It makes for a nice collection and even reference for future projects. Thanks, T
