    Remainder of Company AB 64 a Part II forwarded to Regimental Paymaster Finsbury Circus for checking. Arrangements completed for detachment of ferrying detail to 28 V.R.D. HQ and 59 V.R.D. and 29 V.R.D.

    25 July 1944
    Convoy arrived off JUNO Beach at 11 hrs and anchored off shore until high tide at 1400 hrs. The sea calm and the LCTs ran ashore leaving a wade of 2 to 3 feet. All domestic vehicles waded successfully, but Diamond ‘T’ unable to get ashore without assistance because of wheel spin.
    1630 All vehicles in BYRON assembly area and OC contacted 2nd Army and CRASC.
    2215 Vehicles proceeded to location at Map Ref CREULLY 887782.

    26 July 1944
    HQ established + location set out.
    1500 Wksps i/c Capt Murray, 19 Transporters i/c Lieut Kemp + Capt. Haywood arrived JUNO and proceeded to BYRON to de-waterproof.
    2330 All vehicles arrived in location.

    27 July 1944
    0630 20 Transporters loaded with crawlers [?] D.8 proceeded i/c Lieut. Cripps to RE Dump Bayeux to un-load.
    1700 32 Transporters plus domestics i/c Capt. T.B. Shepherd [?] + Lieut. JEFFERIES arrived in Assembly Area BYRON having come ashore dry-shod.
    2215 Left BYRON and arrived in location at 2300 hrs.

    143 Coy TT RASC stayd for seven months in ST Gillis Dendermonde from 24/9 1944 till 26/4/1945. I have the History and Travels from this Coy called "The Long Trailers" and 58 letters from Driver Arthur Robson who tells the story from 27/4/1945 till 5/1947 can you help me with the names of this Coy?
