Great. Just what I am working on at the moment. Thank you for sharing.

I must find out how to do some of these clever things with digital images. Like many forum members I have thousands of images but unlike most members I have no idea how to share them.

    Hi Mike

You need to sign up for an account on a website like Photobucket or Imageshack. Once you get the hang of it it's very easy to use. I'm sure forum members will help you along the way if you try it.

    Going to have a go?

    Cheers

I also have the following from June 1944 if anyone requires them.

    1 Dorsets
    1 Hampshires
    2 Devonshires
    6 Green Howards
    7 Green Howards.

I'll probably upload them to PBucket and put links in anyway.

(LINKS TO PHOTOBUCKET NO LONGER AVAILABLE - THEY HAVE BLOCKED THEM)

    Hi Rob,

Many thanks for posting the images of the Suffolks war diary.

My uncle was in the intelligence section of the 1st Suffolks so this is just brilliant.

He was only in Normandy however until the 8th July when he was evacuated back to the UK. On his records on the 1st July he goes to the aid station listed as sick then as I say the 8th July back to the UK and hospital.

Do you have copies of the diary from 1st-9th July at all?

    Thanks for your help!

    Best Regards

    Andy

Rob, have you still got them?
Has it got a list of officers?
Wonder if Woodrow Wyatt is listed who mentioned here.
Newspaper article about the Guards from 1952
