Hi There My Grandad was a Gunner in the Royal Artillery, Wessex 43rd, 110th LAA, 362 Battery. I Believe he was on H Troop but would love to confirm that. Has anyone got any photos of this troop, or in general any photos of 362 Battery or 110th. I have various photos of my grandad, and his freinds. Would love to be able to put a name to one of the people in the photos. Thanks for any help
My father saerved as a Bombardier Siganller with 110 LAA. I think he was in 360 Battery. He used to talk about Albert Yardley and Phil Mullin. I think 110 LAA Regiment had the largest number of fatalities of any LAA Regiment that served in Normandy. CO and 20+ others killed.
Here's the units war diary ref's at Kew if you don't have them. The first two are for the UK and the last three cover North West Europe, let me know if you want any copying and or let me know if you want me to check to see if any battery diaries exist - Cheers. Hello mate I kind of forgot about this post I made, wow long time ago now. I see your still active on this forum so hopefully you will see this. Is there a chance you could do me a copy of what you can please ? Thanks in advance
Andy I am researching my Uncle Albert Jennings's service with the 110th and would very much appreciate the war diaries as they no longer appear to be available from the RA Museum and I am unable to travel. Happy to contribute to your research costs. Many thanks Paul
