I have a MK2 British helmet with the name F Cooper and the following markings written on the headband: XGKJ/321 Does anybody have any idea what they relate to? Thanks Chris
I don't know whether this will be of any use or not: British & Commonwealth WW1 & WW2 Brodie Helmet Maker Stamps If you were able to identify the age of the helmet, that might enable you to know whether F. Cooper was a WW1 or a WW2 soldier.
The helmet is dated 1941 and the liner 1940. There is also a flash painted on the side of the helmet that resembles the flash used by the Prince of Wales Own Regiment of Yorkshire.
