Could I add Nevil Horsfall to that list ? I miss our chats. To absent friends !

I am adding my 'old soldier friend', as he liked to be called Wilf Shaw to this thread too. I still miss our chats in the restaurant at
Marks and Sparks over 3 years on.

I miss seeing Jim Harriott's posts. Haven't seen anything since the fall.
    Hope he starts posting again.

When I was a young lad, I thought a Long Island Tea was a tall glass of cold tea with an assortment of potent liquors in it.
Imagine my surprise several years ago to learn that it was, in fact, a tall glass of cold liquor with an assortment of potent liquors in it.
I've seen it induce even the strongest of two-fisted drinkers to walking on their knees.

    Briefly serious point.

    Bollocks to 'Dry January'.
Your local hostelries have had a horrible couple of years.
    I say: Support them.

    Is this what you want?
    Is it?

It's drinking out of doors time again. Home-grown's alright with me..apple-wood and hawthorn, that is...and a good cloudy St. Bernardus. One of the Belgian radio stations got to the end of their listeners' top 1000 this evening with Pink Floyd twice in the top five...Where did the last forty-five years go ? Every evening when I don't get to see two suns in the sunset is a bonus these days.

I like some Pale Ale's, saw this one in Waitrose a week ago, very nice. Didn't notice the musical connection till I was drinking it

    Bacardi & Coke.

I'm not even sure who I am any more... A beer-obsessed mate is sending me some quite crisp abuse. Probably rightly.

You have Bacardi 100. We don't.
Swapped a lighter with a very hammered Skate for a bottle decades ago. Grown-up Bacardi.

Just back from my hols in Spain and enjoyed many Hugo spritzers whilst there. Delicious and refreshing.

    Ingredients are:
    Crushed mint leaves
    20ml Elderflower cordial
    25ml soda water
    120ml Prosecco
    Lime wedge and ice

This is shite. I used to like amber Kwak...The 'Blonde' is not bottle conditioned and it tastes of candy sugar and artificial flavourings....It seemed like a good idea and I don't use the glasses enough...The only bright spot was that I dropped the six-pack on the drive and that's one less to drink...Having 'Googled' I see that the brewery has been bought by AB InBev. That's why it tastes like Leffe weedkiller then...A plague on multinational breweries. Especially AB InBev. The worst cynical crap chemical brewery in the world. (Do libel laws apply here ? )

Bought a bottle of Chirk Castle Fortress Ale & some Monty's Ding Dong.
Didn't fancy a mouthful of the later just yet so opened the former.
