When I was young, we had a very impressive set of knives and forks which my father had brought back from Germany after the war. On the handles, they were stamped ‘Korbhaus, Hamburg.’ Does anyone know if Korbhaus was the name of a hotel or restaurant in Hamburg, or was it simply the name of the cutlery manufacturer?
