    Dear all,
For an article in our magazine of the Historical Society of Lokeren (Belgium) we are looking for more information about a Belgian soldier who served in the South African army as a volunteer.
Willem H. Van Den Broucke, born in Belgium, Lokeren on 12 dec 1912 and who was killed during WW2.
    What do we know:
    - He was immigrated at 1938
    - Volunteer in 10 May 1940
    - Gunner, service number 143957, 2nd Anti-Tank Regiment South African Artillery
    - In 1941 to the front in Libya
    - End of January 1942, prisoner of war by Italian
    - Shipped by transport to Italy and was bring to sink by British warship
    - Body find on the coast of Kerkennah in April 1942.

Is there more information in some archives (war diaries) ? He received some decorations, which one ?
Please anything that can help us is welcome.

    With best regards
    Andre De Munck
