Having visited the Navajo nation a few times and been to a couple of Code Talkers' museum displays and memorials, I found the film extremely disappointing to say the least. Take one of the great true stories of the war and turn it into a one braincell 'shoot-em-up' directed by John Woo with Nicholas Cage mowing down half the Japanese Army in slow motion. What a brilliant idea. Old Nick has a lot to answer for-he also helped ruin the film version of 'Captain Correlli's Mandolin'.

If she's really fit, perhaps he can't catch her; especially after too many kebabs.

I really did not think it was that bad for a Hollywood War movie, where you have to accept that it is not made for portraying authenticity.

I liked it for the reason that the American Indian was shown as having greatly helped the war effort.

I cannot think of many Hollywood movies that actually illustrated the hell of warfare and if they did the ratings would decline and so it is a great compromise.

Nicholas Cage is like many actors, they are sometimes only as good as the script.

    Regards
    Tom
