ive been given this picture by someone of another ww2 forum and trying to trace a woman in photo i can make out the airfield and date but cant make out the rest any idea
how are you going to trace the woman? which one do they expect someone to recognise her after 80 odd years do they have a name ? or any other details of the woman Looks like it says ,Part of sigs section Culmhead what info has been posted on the other WW2 forum saves forum members using their magic crystal balls which this time of year are running a bit dry
You can see from the faces that they clearly knew the war was won. Regrettably, there is rarely any way to trace 'Other Ranks' unless they died in service.
https://www.shelleysigns.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/13714-raf-culmhead-1512735660.pdf By November 1944, RAF Culm Head was placed under care and maintenance until January 1945 when it became active again under Flying Training Commandas a satellite to RAF Exeter and Nos 3 Gliding Training School until July 1945. The airfield then returned to care and maintenance until August 1946 when it closed.
CL1. I am so glad that you took that stance. I looked at it and wondered what the &£ck the question was. I quickly moved on. Regards Frank
