Don't forget the Digital Microfilm version, free (megabig) download.

Yup, I've also got the file that D made still but it's good to find out which actual 373 file they on first before getting the free one on there.

    Digital Microfilm for WO373
This is a free download of these rather large files. Each is a few hundred MB and maybe 1500 pages.
From the NA Discovery search, enter reference in the Online Collections box, for example WO373/185.
When the result appears, go to the Refine Results list on the left and drop down the Catalogue Levels and tick Piece. Click Refine button.
Then click the title of the piece. Don't select Download - it is limited to 1000 pages.
    Click Add to Basket.
Then click Basket (the blue link part of Added to Basket)
Enter your email, if you don't have an account.
    Click Checkout.
    Click Submit order.
A link to the download (zip file) will be emailed to you.

Have they changed the list that was available?

WO373/50/133 included Leslie George's citation but now you must order a copy from Kew. Frustrating that I had downloaded it but my computer decided to delete it.

(For clarification this was not *just* his citation but it was on pp164-5 so one of the large files.)

    Anyone know any more?

It appears they've withdrawn some of the WO 373 series - from around about time the Discovery SE kicked in. There is nothing on the Digital microfilm page by way of explanation of the withdrawal.

A few of us have been caught out by this, ie didn't download all when the opportunity was there. (Now might be the time to check what's left and if you have them saved...)

    This your chap?

    Many thanks, thats him!

Very disappointing they removed them, especially when they lauded making it free to all in 2011!

You can't search by dates - you need the names of the individuals who were awarded the medals.

Those dates you want are spread out over multiple PDF's & cannot as Drew pointed out be searched for by date. You need name & theatre of war to even begin a search.

    Cheers

If you could give the WO 373 file reference would also be a help too. I have most of them stored somewhere
