    Hi

It would depend on which country he was in and what army he served in.
Can you give us more details?

    regards

    Robert

Your photos are the same as those on Ancestry, I don't know if any of the family trees are yours?

The trees give his mother's maiden name as Westwood and one also has a picture of his grave which gives his date of birth as 5 October 1913 as do many of the trees.

The birth registration indexes however suggest that his birth was registered in Q4 1912. Since his birth date is a critical piece of information I would suggest that your first action should be to confirm which is correct getting the certificate if necessary.
