These would appear to be various different Hurricanes belonging to No 40 Squadron SAAF that was serving in the Middle East in 1942
The 8 different "gremlins" appear to be identical to those included in the linked article. The plane type, location and artwork all match.

The axe weilding Mickey Mouse emblem is on a Fw 190F fighter bomber, that probably belongs to either Schnellkampfgeschwader 10 or Schlachtgeschwader 2, the only two Luftwaffe ground attack units equipped with Fw 190's that were in Sicily in mid 1943.
Elements of these two ground attack/fighter-bomber units were used to form Schlachtgeschwader 4 in Italy during October 1943 (note the axe weilding Mickey Mouse emblem at top of the page): Luftwaffe Units
As you can see in the link below the nose art was later used on Schlachtgeschwader 4's Fw 190's in Italy:
