"Surfing" I came across the following site on WWII submarines, mostly American but some British stuff and very detailed including reports and images of interrogaton and action reports. Lots of U-boat photos.

I really like the section on dogs in Antisub warfare, patrolling Florida beaches and such and including the funeral of a dog mascot that was buried at sea in a bomb casing dropped from a plane. Some archeologist is going to be mighty puzzled some time in the future.

Cheers, Bill, it is a very useful site.

Did you know that the Royal Navy tried to train seals as anti-submarine weapons in WW1?

No I did not know that. Not too successful I suppose.
I have also become aware of a lot of training of Dolphins to set mines etc.by the US Navy, again I do not know with what success. Not published a lot I imagine, the public would not like to hear "Flipper" was endangered I suppose.
