    As it happens, our kitchen scissors broke at the weekend, so, full of beans, I went straight to Wright’s website - when I came round I got a pair from John Lewis instead.

    Slightly surprised myself by enjoying the new digital Time Team 3-part Sutton Hoo dig on Yewchoob.
    I suspect actually better than the old normal TV version. A touch more raw, but seemed far more informative with time to do detail over TV nonsense. (Lead lady archaeologist a first-rate explainer of things & stuff too.)
    Sort of fascinated by the marketing/brand ownership behind it all too, though most significant in this house is that's the first time I've seen the Fishwife streaming Yewchoob to the living room TV.
    The times are changing, quite a lot.
    (Also - modern repro pattern-welded swords, helmets, shields, that crop up there - couple of my mates built them... The talented bastards.)

    Just watched this.
    Hockey playing brothers , one with an awesome mullet do a USA Birding Big Year.
    You don't have to be into birding to enjoy it.
    Think of it like a road trip/travel/adventure film.
