    Hello

I'm searching for some more information of this battalion who went through france. Is here someone who has a (regimental?) diary of this battalion? Where were they between +/- 15th of May till 4th of June? Which villages they went through, some details of the battles...

    Thanks in advance

I would have recommended obtaining the Story of the Wiltshire Regiment by KENRICK. Published by Gale & Polden. But to be quite frank, its crap. That is putting it politley. Three quarters of the book covers the period 1756-1939. It may be wise to make contact with Andy- aka Drew5233. I'm sure he will be able to help you out with the war diaries that may have more detail? Edit.. He only charges 10 pence a page. How cheap is that?

    Regards

Rich Payne is another chap who has a great deal of knowledge on this period. I cant help you out any more. Lets hope these chaps come on board & give you the info you require?

All the best in your research.

Nice one Owen. One is going off the thread here. But I do remember looking at this site when i was chasing a original copy of the 10th Battalion the Berkshire Regiment. Some silly moneys was paid for this rare book. But worth it.

Tommy, I cant quite remember what the History of the North Staffs is called? I know it costs a bomb. I have seen copy's going for a mortgage. I think Dryan67 has a copy? From time to time he has come up with the goods.
