Does anyone have any more information on;
Lance Corporal 4976593 Wilfred Denman 1st/5th Battalion Sherwood Foresters. Died as a POW on Saturday 29th August 1943 aged just 24.

Born on the 8th September 1918 Wilfred was the son of Arthur and Sarah Ann Denman (nee Blunt) of Belper and lived at 25 Crich Lane. Before enlisting Wilfred was a Moulder.

 

Wilfred Denman was sent by train from Singapore to the Thai-Burma Railway on 1 Nov 42 in 'Q' Party.
You should contact the very helpful Thailand-Burma Railway Centre who will be able to give you details of his Camps etc.
