    Hurricane N2538.

    Believed shot down by French AA fire 12.05 pm. Sergeant T. Boyd baled out unhurt. Aircraft a write-off.

    Hurricane. Shot down in combat with Bf109's of 8./JG3 and crashed in sea off Ostend 6.45am. Sgt. T. Boyd rescued unhurt. Aircraft AB-B lost.

    Shot down in combat with Bf109's of III./JG26 over Nieuport 2.40 pm. Sgt T. Boyd killed. Aircraft AK-D a write-off.

    It was not a good day for 213 Sqn, 5 losses;

    31/05/1940 213 Sqn

    Hurricane 1 P9342 'L' S/L H D McGregor safe Came down in sea and rescued by ship.

    Hurricane 1 P2763 'G' F/O K N G Robinson safe Baled out, landing on a beach and returned by sea.

    Hurricane 1 P3424 'P' P/O W M Sizer safe Crash landed on fire near Dunkirk and returned by sea.

    Hurricane 1 P3361 'D' F/O W N Gray + Shot down in combat buried at Den Haag, Westduein Cem, when body washed ashore on 17 August 1940.

    Hurricane 1 P3419 Sgt T Boyd + Shot down, buried St Joris, Belgium aged 25.
