Hi all, been researching a story about a local airman who fell in WW2. Going to do a small exhibition of his medals/flying book etc. but would love a small scale model of Mk.III Lancaster with the markings OL-J ND922 which he flew in his last operation. Can anybody direct me to a model maker that would consider making this for me please as I'm hopeless at doing Airfix type kits? Obviously I will pay for the kit and his time. Thanks for reading, Mark.

    Hi,
I know someone whose interest is making model aircraft; here's one he made earlier, as they say:

and could enquire when I see him next (he's on holiday).

Before I do, have you got photos for emulation/replication? Preferred scale? Add-ons: H2S etc? Bomb doors open/shut? Undercarriage up/down? Decals? Any nose art? For hanging or ground display?

You could make a post here as well Mark-

Lots of UK-based aircraft modelers on that forum. Someone might be able to point you in the right direction. I'm sure there are some guys who make them commercially.

There are a couple of 1/144 Lancaster kits available if you don't want to lug around a huge model.
