    OR is Other Rank.

I just found 139 diaries for Port Workshops. Do you have a actual unit?

    This one is for Africa:

WO 169/12580 19 Port Workshop 1943 July- Dec.

    These are for Italy:

WO 170/3044 Port Workshops: 19 Workshop 1944 Jan.- Dec.

WO 170/6556 Port Workshops: 19 Workshop 1945 Jan.- Dec.

WO 170/8729 Workshops: 19 Port Workshop 1946 Jan.

If the Port Workshop was in Italy - wouldn't there be other documentation for Italy detailing the workshop's requirements?

I meant the dilution of staff documents. As they have been issued for port workshops in Africa and the Midle East, I was querying the idea of there being a dilution document for port workshops in Italy.

Was 19 P/W in the M.E? It just seemed you would look at the document relevant to the location, which - if in Italy - may have more relevant info.

Perhaps I have misunderstood your initial question though.
