It is interesting to look at the strength up to the supposed invasion of England.

The slow so slow changes in the North African campaign.

The numbers drawn to or maintained in the west pre /during/post d-day.

By August 1944 there were 100 germand divisions tied up in the West and Italy.

    First rate info.

What a mountain of paperwork and Staff Officers' nightmare keeping track of all the movement of men and logistics.
