In Mark Hayward's book on the Firefly, he includes a quote from Captain Stirling's 1946 book about the 4/7 Royal Dragoon Guards, The First and the Last. The quote is about how when they first fired a Firefly's 17-pounder, "When it fired it gave a colossal flash, a blast which knocked the commander's hat off and singed his eyebrows if he left his head out of the turret". I'm wondering if anyone could locate the page number of this quote?
