Jeff, if you could make a detour of a couple hundred miles to the north west of England when you are in London I could then show you a lot of WW2 places of interest around this neck of the woods. Have you thought about visiting Arnhem while your in the Netherlands? It's approximately an hours drive from Rotterdam. Anyhow, enjoy your trip.

There exists a possibility to go to Arnhem. I was in Limburgh back in 2014 and drove up close to it going to Overloon.
