Anyone got a recommendation beyond Flight Radar 24? Not that I'm disappointed with it. Curious satisfaction to be gained at knowing where a dull flying bus overhead is off to, and you sometimes catch more interesting aviation activity. Just wondering if something else is the current option of choice among planiacs. Regained access to the augmented reality view after a couple of years denied it, which piques renewed interest.
Flightradar24 is fine for me. When our mates flew to USA he took a photo looking down at us within a minute of me taking a photo from our garden of their plane.
This one is good if you have an Apple, tracks civil and military aircraft, although I note the price has increased since I purchased it. ‎OpenADSB
UK based Planeplotter and US based Flightaware are a couple of options. In addition you can have your own ADSB receiving station for a fairly modest sum. EDIT: I intended to say Planefinder rather than Planeplotter, as Planeplotter is more relevant to those who have set up their own receiver.
