Thank you for sharing these photos they are great. I hope someday our PBS will broadcast the program. They do sometimes broadcast things like this and I hope they do.
The programme should be on BBC2 and will also be shown in Canada/US. More nearer the transmission date.
Paul, Thank you for thinking of that, we recently changed our TV Service provider and they do carry the BBC.
Whilst browsing the internet this morning I came across this old issue of ARRSE and Gerry's review of "Catch that tiger !" : Tiger 131 This article made me realise how much I miss Gerry's comments and how much I had enjoyed my meeting with him and the late Tom Canning back in Cockfosters so many years ago. Keep well Gerry, wherever you are and rest assured that your contributions to the annals of WW2 will never be forgotten Ron
Who can forget the real events behind the capture and recovery of the 131. I was talking to young man recently who studies military history and he mentioned how much he enjoyed his trip to Bovington and seeing the collection of tanks particularly the Tiger 131.Like many he said his devotion to military history has reached a point where he avoids buying books....too many as he says.
