Hi, This is my first post on this forum. I've already found answers to several questions while deciphering my fathers WWII Service records with the help of information on this forum. However, there's still a lot unanswered and I hope some of you can help me.

On the Service & Casualty forms (Army Form B103 and B102) I'm not sure what the following abbreviations and terms mean:

Attached MCS from date to date <DATE>Course No. number<NUMBER>.
    Posted to draft serial REAFH.
Posted to the W.E (less attached)
Posted to the 'Y' on date <DATE>having been in hospital over 21 days.
Posted to full W.E of this unit.
Posted in excess of W.E (Less Att) of this unit
TOS X(IV) list RHU from draft RESMT
    Specialist Qual - Intell. Duties

Thanks for any help you can give.

All I know is RHU is Regimental Holding Unit. Since been proved wrong it's actually
    Reinforcement Holding Unit

    .

    No mystery here......

When I was posted abroad to North Africa (April 1943) my draft serial was REAYK and therefore my records simply say "posted to Draft REAYK"

Best of luck with the others

    Could be one of these:

    MCS
    Maneuver Control System; Military Capabilities Study;
Mine Countermeasures Ship; Modular Causeway System

    TOS

    TOS
