Google Account Deletion Policy

    If, like me, you use a Google blog as the basis for your own WW2 history, you should be aware that Google will now delete your account and data after 2 years of inactivity.

    I had hoped that, after my death, my Sergeant Ack-Ack site would hang around for maybe another 10 years. But I was realistic enough to know that it would have to be deleted at some stage.

    To be honest, Google owe me nothing; I use a deGoogled smart phone and all Google scripts are disabled on my main laptop. I just have an old dedicated laptop for updates to my blogs.

    And I'd also like to point out that I'm not planning to croak in the near future. But I may need to start considering other backup plans.
