Help with button...please

    Still going through loads of buttons....just as confused as ever!!!

    Can anyone identify this one?? Mounted troops.....Farriers perhaps?

    That rounded form looks French to me. Are there any markings on the reverse ?

    My guess would be a French volunteer fire brigade (but it is purely a guess !)
