Heavy arty barrage standing on each line.

Hamps lost two Coy Comds early and Howie had difficulty in getting the show going again. 60 Bosche prisoners.

Devons got on well and with S Rangers KO'd six tanks. After reaching objectives they were most disorganised and had to be ordered back slightly. Dorsets from base moved up in the night to relieve Hamps. Howie killed by Mortars. Losing too many by mortar bombs.

Brig Stanier rather worried, naturally for loss of so many. They have had a rotten time. Up at 2 a.m. to speak to him, position worse and sent recce regt over to plug gaps and act as long stop."

    Re. AVR - " ANN " - T-151014

    T151014 appears at around 4m25s of Newmarket #3 -
Newmarket #3 : THE 8TH ARMOURED BRIGADE ENTRAINS AT NEWMARKET TO TRANSFER TO ITS PRE-INVASION ASSEMBLY AREA IN SOUTHERN ENGLAND (PART 3) [Allocated Title]

The way that the film has been taken; and cut, it appears amidst some 24L tanks, but the tac itself looks perhaps closer to a "996" which would be SRY.

The Sherman tanks though are all "A" Squadron, 24th Lancer Shermans and they are all being moved together down to the south coast.

The same AVR appears a couple of months later near to Hottot - the original is very dark - but the brightness can be raised in order to see some things a bit clearer...

    At the rear - T151014
From this angle - the "5" looks a little like it could possibly be a "6".. however, in a few of the earlier frames - it looks a bit more like a "5"
