    A very understandable feeling.

Post war Germany had the luxury of using its financial aid solely for rebuilding its infrastructure with the most modern technology, poised to leap into future markets.

American's of a certain generation had very much similar thoughts of Japan and her industry in the 1980's.

Reading the Pathe online associated notes, they often seem to have lost a lot of paperwork... or else they acquired the print(s) from a variety of sources and just didn't know much about it.

    German Rearmament - Factory

Short Summary : German army officers inspect a factory producing artillery.

Description : Unused / unissued material - no paperwork - dates unclear or unknown

    Germany.
Car carrying Nazi officers pulls up outside building. Interior shots of large factory. High ranking German officer makes speech from top of a tank.
Shots from moving crane on roof as Officers inspect this armaments factory. Shots of metal work in factory. More shots of inspection. They appear to be making barrels for artillery. Odd shot down gun barrel.
Officer inspects training area and chats to apprentice. More inspection shots. Travel shot along row of barrels. Artillery pieces are wheeled off factory floor.
N.B. Presumably this is part of Germany's rearmament programme before the outbreak of WWII. Film is quite scratched.
