Looking for family members of this aircraft’s crew. Or anyone with the story of the July 30, 1943 mission. Have seen posts alluding to family members having accounts of this mission.

I am currently opening a museum on the site of the old King’s Cliffe airfield and would like to tell the story of this crew’s ordeal on this mission.

    Mike,

You may want to have a moderator change the title of your thread. The aircraft you are asking about carried the serial DV197.

    DV189 was a No. 550 Squadron Lancaster.

    Regards,

    Dave
