Location of Camp 55/6 Busseto Italy

As a postscript to this thread I would like to add that my brother and his wife ,(Ernest's daughter) travelled to Italy and Switzerland and as near as they could followed the route of Ernest's escape, in the Summer of 2013.They were so surprised to actually meet a relation of one of the partisans who had helped Ernest in one of the mountain villages.Eventually in the castle at Caux they left photos and contact details so that any future visitor could contact them. All the information we obtained via this website or on the journey or from their own personal records have now been made into a family book and passed to each Grandchild as a memento.It was an exciting and at times moving and fascinating journey for us to trace the incredible journey made by these men . With a limited amount of information and invaluable help from members on this site it all came together and the story unfurled. So don't give up keep asking questions and surprisingly things do turn up and the stories can be told. Thanks to everyone who contributed to "Granddads Story."
