These are the movements of 69 Med Regt RA:

An AGRA is an Army Group Royal Artillery. Whilst the Infantry & Armoured Divisions has Field Regiments in support of them who fired smaller guns, the AGRA was a grouping of Medium, Heavy and sometimes Super Heavy Regiments. This extra AGRA firepower would be allocated out to specific Divisions to beef them up for specific operations. 2 AGRA, for example, was given to X (British) Corps - who were made up of 46 Infantry Division, 56 Infantry Division, 2 Commando Brigade and 7 Armoured Division, to beef up the Corps when it had landed and wanted to push forward at Salerno in Sep 43.

    Regards

Thank you so much for this, most of my investigations re my Dad have come up blank but I did find the record of someone who might have been my dad, so I am trying to prove it.

    All the best
