This is Sp/4 Davey Clark and "Rocky' of the 38th Scout Dog Platoon in Chu Chi. They are searching for VC positions on an operation with the 1/5th Mechanized Infantry south of Cu Chi base camp. The strange thing about this is that I doubt that Davey Clark will ever have seen these pictures.
Men of "B" Company, 4/9th Infantry Division sort through a weapons cache found in a military operation near Fire Support Base, "Wire" just outside of Cu Chi. 4th October 1968.
