Was talking to my best mate last night and went over his Dad's RAF service. Turns out he was flying Halifaxes out of Aqir in 1946-47 with 113 squadron and took part in Operation Polly, the evacuation of British people from Palestine. Here is some info on the operation:Operation Polly
