Hello I am looking for our canadian liberators (the name of the regiment) whose liberated LUMBRES (north of France) on september, 5TH 1944. I am having difficulties identifying the canadian regiment can you help me, because I am preparing an exhibition the next september, to celebrate the 70th anniversary Thanks to you Sincerely Serge
Thank you But this should not be good. The regiment is indicated for guidance and it seems that this is not good. This is inaccurate. Serge
Serge, Welcome to the forum. I just looked at the official history of the Canadian Army during WW2, written by Colonel C.P. Stacey. It is written on more of a high level basis and does not cover the liberation of each and every town. Specifics are best found in Regimental Histories. Another forum member, Dryan67 has contributed many Regimental Histories. I suggest you send him a PM to aid in your search. Cheers
Serge, This Website may be of help to you. http://www.cmp-cpm.forces.gc.ca/dhh-dhp/his/oh-ho/index-eng.asp Regards Tom
