Please help 240 Bty, 115 Fld Regt Thanks to posts from- PsyWar.Org DaveB topofthestack and a few others for guiding me to this website. I'm a very long in the tooth serving soldier and have always always had a fascination with my uncles career. From what i know Gnr Leonard Stone 865891 was in 240 Bty 115 Fd Regt RA. He died 01/06/40 aged 20 in Staines hospital. He was a Leicester man and from what i know was proud, handsome and confidant but with a quiet manner. My father said he believes he was a dispatch/ recce motorcyclist. Casualty I am desperate for information on him and guidance and help on how to discover information. Any help would be enormously appreciated. K Stone
This regiment inc the battery was in France so I wonder if he died of wounds after being evacuated. Do you have his service records?
