hi my name is lee, i am trying to find out more about my grandad's service history. his name was William Charles Tanner his army number was 2156056 he served with the Royal Engineers from 19th Feb 1942 to 16th April 1946. Any information would be a great help as he died when i was about 5 and me and my family would love to learn about his service history thank you
Hello Lee, As a quick heads up you will need to apply for his service records to identify which RE unit he served with. Once you have done this you should be able to get copies of his units war diary. Regards Andy
